It bothers me when Harry Potter fans use the word “Muggle” as an insult. The series preached resistance against the forces of fascism and prejudice. To use “Muggle” as an insult implies that the user doesn’t understand the themes of the book.

I think out of all the characters, Voldemort is the most tragic. His mother kept giving his dad love potions and eventually had Voldemort. There’s no real consent; he was not born out of love he was born out of rape. His mother basically raped his father, since he would not otherwise agree to have sex with her unless under the influence of something. He was put in an orphanage, which frankly can be far worse than living with the Dursleys. That little boy never stood a chance.
